Managed to pick up a copy of TW06 for £3 in my local Gamestation shop!! It comes on three discs, I assume I have to install stuff off of all three?
Anyway, I digress....I saw an official download from EA online for a Course Architect. Just wondered if its any good, what sort of stuff you can design with it, how complicated it is to use, etc??
Thanks gang! |

| Hi Dave, at the top of the page is the tutorials tab which will take you to a bunch of informative stuff about course design. Select Course Architect Tutorials and start by downloading the Smiling Goats tuts to get you going. |

I think you to have actually have TW 2006 compete game install to be able to work in CA, but not 100% sure now. This is what I did to use CA after buying TW 06, and everything seems to work fine for me so far.
* On top of this site page you can get CA 06 following this path, and there are all kind of good things within utilities here on CDT PATH: Utilities/Tiger Woods 06/design tools/CA download
* There are all kinds of killer design tutorials to get you started with things for course design here to in Utilities TW 08 section too. These are a blessing like no other for anyone who wants to learn this stuff, and many who found out things the hard way has made it easier for us noobs. Very nice to have they are, and I suggest reading/watching them big time.
* Nuttywoddy made a great guide for us noobs that gives software, tips, tutorial listings, and all kinds of good info within them. I suggest getting this 1st to use for your guide to what you need to do for course design
* I kinda feel into watching smiling goats tutorials 1st, but glad I accidentally did it this way because the videos gave me a idea what the heck was going on. Then Homeboys hole tutorial made everything come together like a sweet puzzle. This one you should do last or just look at real quick so you know where all the techniques are all going
Cant remember everything right now until I drink much more coffee, but hope this helps ya some
Good luck Squirrely
EDIT: Whoops,Wizzards beat me while I was writing.....LOL

Thanks for all the info guys, much appreciated...Im a Tiger veteran but on the Xbox only. I'm only just now stumbling across all the good stuff you can do with Tiger on the PC, custom course and the like. Wished I'd have found it all earlier!
Im hoping to knock up a version of my local pitch and putt, so all par 3 holes. Its a tricky little course so Im interested in how it will play on Tiger. I'll let you know how it goes. |

| Dave, the course architect is included on the 06 disk ( you probably have it installed if you installed all 3 disks....). |

| I didn't think the CA was included in 06. I thought it was only available as a download. The CA is available in our Utilities area in the TW2006 section. |

Hia,Ive just installed CA06.Ive loaded a couple of courses I created for TW05 and it ctds when I try to change a course texture.Ive installed all the new 08 and my old libraries! Although I got the courses working for TW07.I have also just started creating a new course and that too has crashed! I know its a bit vague but has anybody got any suggestions? I used to create courses a lot for TW03 & 05 so Im resonably experianced and familiar with CA although I have only just bought TW08. |
