I have developed a small crack on my game disc where the game fits on the case spindle. Of course I don't keep it in the case anymore..

But, are there any work-arounds, such as installing the game permanently, copying or fixing the disk.

Thanks for any input.

sure, but then you are starting from scratch...reinstalling all the customs, etc...

probably not going to be able to fix it, just handle with care.

the game is installed on your HD,
no one said anything about uninstalling, no need to
all you need is a disk that satisfies the piracy checks the game does

get another disk, pop it in - and play

depends on depth of crack but try this rub the disk with a pop up style of deodorant leave for 2 min then cover disk in toothpaste and leave a further 5 min then rinse of with cold water and dry with a soft cloth sounds crazy but works for scratches

I originally played Links and then I found out about this game.. However, when I went looking for the game it was no where to be found.. So I went on ebay and ordered it from a fellow in California.. I do not remember his name.. but I had the disk (brand new) for $10.00 and I had it in 2 days. I ran across a brand new copy in Best Buy one day and bought it for a backup. It cost me $12.00.. Now I have my backup. I would suggest if anyone sees one to pick it up. Copies of the game are becoming very rare.

Re:cracked disk by Scottiedog23.
London Drugs (Canada) still has original TW08 DISCS TO USE AS BACKUPS.
I couldn't find single TW08 dvd but purchased EA sports 08 Collection for Cad $29.99.
Although pricey for a backup it includes separate discs for soccer, football, basketball, hockey and the golf game...about 3 gigs each. Also came across EA Collection 07 in bargain bin for $10.00. Above items found in Nanaimo, B.C.
Might interest those in proximity to Canadian Border or might try googling London Drugs online.
Cheers to all members and programmers.
