I downloaded caddie 08 for vista. Installed correctly but when i go to the icon to open and error log comes up. Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 is not installed on this computer correctly. The program will now close. System.Exception: You have no courses installed for Tiger Woods PGATour 2008 at TW08Caddie.GetReginfo.GetCourses()
My Tiger woods 2008 is installed in my computer and I use it??????
If I uninstall my game and reinstall i will lose all of my files and attributes.
what am i doing wrong??
Is Vista the problem?? does not recognize my game |

Hi...
The program needs to have permission from the first time you install it. UAC Creates registery entries for each individual user and denies access to the keys Tiger Woods 08 uses to read courses from.
Simply put here is how to fix every single issue that Vista users have encountered. MAKE SURE THE PROGRAM HAS ADMINISTRATION PRIVILEGES.
So how do you do that you ask?
Browse to the folder you installed TW Caddie 08 usally:
C://Program Files/CourseDownloads.com/TW Caddie 08
Locate the following file:
TW Caddie 08.exe
(VISTA 64 BETA)
TW Caddie 08 Vista 64.exe
Right Click on that file and select Properties.
With properties Open select the tab labeled Compatibility
In the Compatibility screen you will see a option near the bottom that says:
Run This Program as Administrator
Check the box and click Apply and then OK. As the manual says you the program MUST BE RAN AS AN ADMINISTER. IN XP just being logged in as an Admin is enough. Vista on the other hand you have to tell it to run as an Administer.
This has fixed 99.9% of all reported problems with TW Caddie and Vista.

| i have fixed the problem downloaded wrong version of caddie08 needed to download caddieo8 64 did that and went through the steps. looked for my tiger woods 2008 game not there in program had moved as I moved it back my disc started to reinstall tiger woods game and then the link worked. Unfortunately all my progress on the game was gone and my profile etc. had to redo. but i succeeded in dowloading new courses. Since I did not uninstall the first game installation my hard drive showss the dates of both installations. Do not know how to link them to read so that all my game progress will be restored. Don't want to mess with it as it now works. thanks |
