I keep reading past posts about shader levels and that you need to turn them down sometimes on custom courses. A couple symptoms that require this change is grass that is leaning over, and buildings that are all black. There are a few courses that this happens to me on, and I would like to change the "shader" level. However, my card (NVIDIA GeForce 6800) does not have anything called a shader. I am new to this level of detail on a graphics card and would appreciate help on what I should be looking for. I did get new drivers for the card this week and have a great new control panel, but nothing that refers to "shaders."
What am I missing?

| The shader level is inside the TW game, not with your video card. From the main screen, go to Options, change to Manual Settings and adjust the Shader Level there. |

please, that question's too easy ... could fill in lots of things there :)
the graphic settings are those in game, you adjust them in TW
start the game
main page, left side - wrench icon (options)
next page - vid card icon (graphics)
the shader level is on that page
lens flare, depth of field, bloom usually off for most people
other options, and where slider bar is depends on video card power etc
grass is biggest lag culprit, followed by tree detail
can also adjust during a game using the cntrl+O (letter O)
or form the screen menu button |
