I just started playing with true swing this last week or so, and have done it vertical since I started. I didn't realize you could do true-swing horizontal until today by accident, and it seems I hit the ball straighter with horizontal true-swing, but was thinking it might be harder down the road trying to shape my shots with draws & pulls this way.....
What do you use with using true-swing Horizontal or Vertical?
I'm going to practice both ways, and can you play with both in tournaments?
Thanks Squirrely

| Squirrely, I use the V method. I find it easier (; by a wide margin) to shape shots using the H method, but thats just not realistic. I opt for the V method, because I find it much more realistic (; ie, if you play a draw naturally, its much harder to control a fade, just like in real life). |

Total understand that, and when I was playing today with H/true-swing, I just didn't get the same satisfaction I got when hitting a straight shot like under vertical swing. My horizontal shot is a natural straight swing, and it's almost all green stats in the swing analyzer thing every time I hit the ball now. When playing with a vertical true-swing I gotta really try hard to hit a good ball. Like the Vertical better because I like the challenge, and it reminds me of real golf alot more too. Got a natural draw with my vertical true-swing(Just like in real gold for me) I gotta work on.........grrrrrrrrrrr
I didn't think about how a good a mouse could factor into how good it helps your swing, and I'm just using a regular Dell mouse that came with our computer. New to all this, and I can see myself playing Tiger Woods for awhile now, but I can't score like some of these players I've seen out there on the leader-boards. with alot of practice I can maybe be competitive one day.
Thanks for the replies Squirrely |

| A high end laser mouse actually makes it more difficult to have accurate true swing, optical mice make it alot easier |

| As Jim is pointing out, a laser mouse is actually going to make hitting straight more difficult the farther from novice you go. Higher dpi will mean a less forgiving mouse. |

| I turn my chair sideways to the screen and use H. That's the most realisitic! (JK) No really I just do plain old V. Never even tried H or 3C. |

Im in second place right now on the intermediate tour this week, but their are only two final scores right now........ hehehe I just feel apart today playing my rounds, and even went with my more constant horizontal true-swing. It went all fade on me today, and I couldnt shoot a straight shot or hit a put hard enough to save my life. Going to need a super mouse, many hours of practice, and some miracles to shot under par playing intermediate/true-swing. Going to go with vertical true-swing from now on..........

| dont know about Otto, but i use 300 and if i could go lower i would, lot more room for error in moving the mouse back and forth dont have to be perfect to hit straight. |

Thanks Otto!
My default mouse was set for 100 and I boosted it to 200. Now Im going to try advanced-expert on 20. I rolled it way back to the lowest setting.
One more thing Otto. If youre using TrueSwing on expert whats your DPI mouse setting?
Thanks!" |
Mo,, I use an MX518 by Logitech ( optical mouse ). It has the option to change dpi during play. My minimum setting is 800, my max is 1800......... my biggest problem is that brushing against one of the buttons on the mouse changes the dpi from 800 to 1800, which I do a lot inadvertantly. It has a huge effect on my game.
