Ok, I'm on my 2nd BAD video card in a week. I got 2 bad ati HD3650 cards. They keep screwing up on startup, I have to restart every time.

So, now I am leaning towards trying something different, like Nvidia, but the only reason I am shying away is because I have heard about the Slanted Grass. Can you guys tell me, is it that bad?

This card is great, once I get the computer restarted, so I need something comparable.

I have PCI Express, and only 375 watts of power, can't afford to upgrade power right now.

Any advice is most appreciative.

I'm going to buy direct from Best Buy, or another store, cause I hate waiten to return something.

Thanks for any help.

that would work but the first link is about 40% better and the second link is about 80% better, the slanted grass is fixed by setting shader level to very high.

forget the second one you need a bigger power supply.

Thank you Carnousti, I went with the 9500 gt as It did not require a powersupply upgrade.

So far, it's amazing, I can turn shader level to Very High and the slanted grass is gone and it plays superbly.

Thanks again.

Hey axe, looks like a cool card, just curious when you crank up the shader to very high, what the water looks like? I have the 8800 gtx oc and kinda looks like the 07 water fix here...

Here's a couple from my on going design. Can't see through it, like in the stocks, and this is set to Med, or it won't look good on High or Very High.

Ya know Otto, I had the HD3650 twice in 1 week, and I loved it, accept for the problems on start up, but I loved the graphics on that, the 3850 must be gr8

I really like this new card, it's awesome for me.

And I can count on it working everytime.

Peace
