While I'm happy to contribute, maybe charging a membership fee would be a fairer and easier way to raise the cash. I have no idea how many members there are, but $5 would be a pittance compared to the value we get out of the site. I'm sure the regular forum guys would be happy with that, and the people who only download courses.... $5 for hundreds of new courses every year, seems like a bargain to me. This could be an annual fee or a one off (depending on how many new members would join the site each year).

Anyway thats my two bobs worth.

Cheers

Neil

I appreciate the idea, however due to EA's EULA we are not allowed to charge for access to courses or libraries. I however do have an idea that will add value to the site for those who donate.

If you have a way other than that"PayPal Robbers" I would gladly donate. From Canada they are to expensive to cross the border. How about a cheque,or MC card direct to tw8 Caddie.

TBM, not saying I am in favor of membership, but with the EULA, since you are not charging directly for access specifically for a course or a library, you are allowed to require a membership for access to all downloads or the site entirely. As long as there is content outside of files created with the CA & LC it is good to go. The other option is to limit download amounts via a subscription level or membership level. Just a thought. I know first hand how hard it is to keep a site up on donations. Been covering half of my server bill each month myself.

Question: How long after you donate will myZip be turned back on?

Should be almost instantly. If for some reason you donated and were not logged in the system has no way of knowing it was you who donated. If this is the case please PM me with your paypal email address so I can fix it. DO NOT POST YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN THE FORUM!!!!!!

I have some ideas for memberships, but will reveal them later after I have a chance to talk with the staff about them.
