Hi, I was trying to exchange a sound file in TW08, and as you do I renamed a sound with the same name as the original but it fails to work even though when I overwrite the original it asks me if I want to do so, so it does recognise the sawap over but does not work. 1 or 2 of the memebrs here have tried but all have come up with a negative, can anyone throw some light on this? The files in question are :
M_2K4_TRNINT_GENRC_01_01
M_2K4_TRNINT_GENRC_01_02
M_2K4_TRNINT_GENRC_01_03
These are Gary McCord's Intros on the start of a course when you have the 1st hole fly by
ie : "This is Gary McCord for EA Sports Welcoming you to todays tournament" and the file I wanted to replace it with was a music file intro (From BBC TV Golf Programme, if anyone knows that one)
Hope someone out there can help.

Bummer..tried it also, recorded sound, replaced all 4 of those files, all with mine, still said the same thing...lol
edit** also a 01_04
????

its not the 2k4 INT files
lol - or the 2k6 ones
its the 2k5 ones _TI_ (;tournament intro?)
M_2K5_TI_050.mp3
M_2K5_TI_051.mp3
M_2K5_TI_052.mp3
replace those ones
i checked the similar sized files (;35-40kb) - they were all 2 secs or so instead of the 5 secs of the intro by mccord
then looked for other 5 sec files (;approx 90kb) with INT or similar in the name
with Audacity (;google it - free audio editing program, read notes for LAME plugin needed for mp3) you can overlay your music intro on top of mccord
then adjust db level of each track
sounds better than just mccord :) |

i kept mccord but overlaid 3 diff sound tracks (one per file), all a little longer than the original but with a 2 sec fade at the end
gnarles barkley 'crazy' was one of them :) |
