Hi I had the same problem as you, 10 meg connection and download speeds the same. I can recommend Free Download Manager which works a treat on this site (and others). You should get speeds of about 500-600Kbs

I use Firefox as opposed to IE and I have what is termed up to 8mb Broadband LOL but as we all know in the UK, BT doesnt like to make it easy for other BB providers (;I am on Orange) so, I never quite make it that fast.

It is however, a darned site quicker when those across the pond have got themselves all tucked up in bed LOL Personally, I have never experienced a D/L taking more than a 3 or 4 minutes here at any time of the day.

The last two months the site has been getting a lot of visits and downloads. This decreases the amount of bandwidth the site has. We have a 100MB connection so that's all that's available for all users. We could upgrade but its about $200 a month.

Still sure beats dial-up when these things took 3-5 hours to download :)

Like Bobby, I remember the days of dial-up downloads taking hours. I have no idea how fast a 26mb file should or shouldn't take, but 9 minutes seems like a very decent "crusin' ESPN.com for news while your file downloads" length of time to me. The other thing to keep in mind: pretty amazing to think all these great courses are free to download. If you were paying for them, I suppose you might have a valid complaint with having to wait an extra couple minutes longer to download them. But not when they're free like this. ;)
