you see the effort, time and money peeps have been injecting in to this franchise over a decade or so and they drop the pc format..lol...you could see from 2k6 it was going the console way its no longer a "sim" but arcade lol...i want a decent golf sim....any tips

For a "decent" golf sim.......... try the 08 version on expert level, playing TS(V) freehand (i.e., with the ability to hit the ball offline). It's not the real thing, but, chipping aside, it's pretty close...........

The other options you have is CustomPlay Golf. It is still a developing product, but it is well supported by the designers and they are very open to listening to their customers. You can check out the thread about the game here:

Your thread topic is very misleading....and I will say that you will find it difficult to find a more challenging simulation-like experience than TW08 on Expert difficulty......

TW08 on expert plays about the best you can find. Custom Play Golf 2 / 2009 is the other excellent product out there. It is still improving rapidly and trhe developers are excellent.
