Hello all.

I'll do my best to describe my clock issue. All the time my shot timer says I've ran out of time when I have not even gotten close to running out of time. As one would imagine I get kicked out of a lot of games by those lame opponents we've all ran across due to this. I usually let everyone in the match know I have this "glitch" ahead of time and ask them to please click "no" when asked to DQ me but it seems to only help me stay in the game as long as I am not winning.

Couple important facts reguarding this issue. I am aware that minimizing the game causes problems such as mine upon restoring the game. Infact I am almost guaranteed a time warning everytime if I do need to minimize for any reason but this is not what's happening with me. I am not doing anything but playing my round normally, OR, waiting for and watching my opponents shoot and I get time warnings.

This has been a thing I've had in my TW08 game only (no previous years has this occurred)since day one. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my game several times. I have even done a complete hard drive format before reinstalling but still get the issue. I have bought a second game and installed off that DVD but it still happens. I have even downloaded a torrent and installed from it hoping something would change but I still get shot clock warnings constantly!

I have not carried over my previous career files thinking maybe a file within was the culprit but still get it. My system clock is set correctly nor is it ever losing time. No problems with my computers clock that could contribute to this.

It's been suggested to me before to turn the shot timer off in the game settings but as you all should be aware of that is not an option. We can set the timer from 15 seconds per shot up to 90 seconds per shot, but we can not turn it off completely. Wish I could!

That's about all I can think of that could be relevant right now. Please, if anyone has any ideas to help resolve this or at least something for me to try, Please save me a few gray hairs and post a response. I am tired of being kicked for doing nothing wrong.

Thanks for reading this and any future help received.

Hi....

Very strange....maybe you can try to set option Ready Play to: Never
( Ready play is option to play game faster )

To turn Ready play off:
Start TW08 game......go to: Options......go to section: Game......and set: Allow Ready play: Never

Note: All your opponents will have to turn off ready play also.

Ive tried Ready Play both on and off but it makes no difference. It has to be something in my Windows XP Pro or its settings TW08 doesnt like Im thinking. Hopefully I can get this resolved or this could be a long and miserable wait for the next game we get for me.

Thanks vey much for trying to help me by the way. These boards only work when people chime in when they can like you did here.

Thanks and still looking for a resolve if anyone else has any ideas for me.

EDIT: I read your response a 2nd time Gunpower61 and noticed your Note: All your opponents will have to turn off ready play also. That is one thing I have not made certain was done yet. Within all the games Ive played surely everyone has been on or off Ready Play together but I will test that for sure. You may have something here because there are games my clock never expires as well as others that it expires insanely quick. My fingers are crossed. Ill let you know when I have something further.
