I'm having an issue and I'm not sure if it is because of Vista or my video card.
When the game switches between screens and go's black and doesn't recover. Ex. when finishing a game and returning to the main game the screen nomally go's black for just a seccond, but mine go's black and just hangs there. Sometimes I can ALT+TAB and TW08 will be minimized and I can restore it. Sometimes The screen just stays black I have to shut power off and reboot. Oh, The game is installed in the 64 bit directory.
Any Help Appriciated, Thanks.

| The only thing I can think of is the confidence folder. But I don't know if that is the problem or not. |

This is how you can fix the Confidence problem Bobby is talking about:
When you start playing TW08 game, it is important to know there is a bug in the game: When you played some courses you will see the loading times between holes are increasing, the game will become slower and slower. Do next steps to solve the problem:
On desktop you will see folder: My documents........ inside look for: Tiger woods PGA tour 2008....and inside go to folder: Career. Inside Career go to folder: Players.......and inside look for your playersname folder. Now you will see folder: Confidence.....and inside you will find files: Hole Type.tcn......and.....Shot type.tcn Now right click both files ( hole.tcn +Shot type.tcn) and delete both files. When you did this: restart TW08 game and play 1 hole on any course and close TW08 game. Go back to same confidence folder and you will see both files are regenerated: but now they are very small size ( 85kb or something like that) Now right click both files ( Type.tcn......and.....Shot type.tcn) and choose : Properties....and check box: READ ONLY. Do this for both files. |

| Well I un-installed TW08, and re-installed. I read the read file and decided to change (lower)my screen resolution which has so far seemed to help somewhat. It still seems a little un-stable. right now only time will tell. Thanks for the advice on the files in my documents, I had tryed that earlier and it didn't really make any difference. |

| it sounds like you are playing the game at a higher resolution than the desktop or the TW start screen,in Vista the desktop and the TW start screen run at 60 mhz,it could be you are running the game higher and it is getting stuck switching back to 60mhz. |

Thanks for the suggestions Carnoustie, I went back and checked, I am running my monitor @ 60hz. Since lowering game resolution to 1280x768 I haven't had a crash. |
