1. Sometimes when there's a camera crane next to the green the program makes me take a free drop(for an obstruction) from where I hit the shot, even if I'm only a few feet from the cup. There's no real interference but I think the shadow of the crane is detected by the program. I literally can't finish the hole unless I sink the shot.
2. I saw in another post there's some add-on that will make the top of the cup white, but when I clicked the link it didn't take me to the download. Does anyone know how to get this fix?
Thanks |

1. don't hit the ball there anymore nothing you can do about object/structure/course properties set in the game by the designer
2. TruBluMich made the white cup fix

Thanks for the DL.
The problem with the crane is sometimes the shadow iss over the cup and I'm not sure where the program detects it as an obstruction. Guess it's just another TW bug. Oh well. |

| I'm giving up on 2008 - I hit the green on a par 4 at the National and am told due to an obstruction I get a free drop, which is the tee. Back to 2006. |

I donnow why many people here are still playing 08. Untill the better version of TW coming out, is'nt it wise to stick to the most better version? and i suggest 06.
Theres no promise that we get TW10 next year. Anyone can tell when we get the next TW?
If we go on like this till the next version comingout, we better choose the most better version. imho |

| If you feel 06 is the best version, continue playing it. However, many of us feel that 08 has better lighting features and plays better than 06. TW08 is quickly coming up on having more courses designed for it than any other TW version. TW2006 had its problems too as have every version of TW released. TW08 is the latest version and the one that is the easiest to find for purchase and is the latest being supported. You are not going to get people to revert back to a game that is 2 years old. It just isn`t going to happen. |

| I agree the visuals are better in 08. But something odd happened when I went back to 06. I've been playing 08 for about 2 or 3 weeks(expert level, 3 click) and I seemed to have lost my swing - was having a great deal of difficulty scoring. Almost immediately when I began 06 I was hitting the ball good again. I think the swing action is jerky and inconsistent in 08. I can still hit bad shots in 06, but if I'm seeing well and concentrating I can manage to be competitive. In 08 I often can't find any consistency no matter what. Another thing, in 08 before I quit, I played the first round of the first major, was tied for the lead, and when I tried to play the second round I was informed I had withdrawn from the tournament. So now I'm back in 06. |
