OK, firstly, Ive always been a PC golfer from PGA2000 onwards, right up to TW07, didnt really like 08 much, an interface thing ... then took the head-staggers yesterday and bought a Xbox360 with TW09, hooked it up to my LCD via HDMI and WOW ... 32 LVD tvs were made for HD golfing.

The game defaults to 1280*768 so looks really crisp and alive with rich colours ... spent ages just doing fly-bys lol, if youve never experienced HD golf youre in for a treat, the water effects are superb!

Thisll keep me going for awhile.

Good to hear. I haven't bought the console version since TW 06 for the 360, which I really enjoyed. I've been thinking of checking 09 out, so maybe I'll go give it a rent. Thanks.

Really? They weren't an issue with TW 06 for the 360. Odd that the graphics would get worse, three years later...?

Not really....... since its easier for game designers to produce work for a platform where everyone has the same hardware,,,,, they can make some amazing products, .... but the hardware , itself, is the limiting factor in terms of using active anti-aliasing , af , and the like. You get something, and you give something up. Still, its nice to know that the game looks good on that platform.

I too have TW 09 for the 360. I have it hooked to a 42" LCD using HDMI, the game supports 1080p. The graphics are unbelievable. You have to try the import your own photo feature, it's fantastic. Gameplay is pretty impressive too. Hopefully for TW 10, EA Sports will remember us PC users and give us something as good as they are giving the console owners.

It shouldn't be for the 360 with 10 MB RAM directly on the GPU die.

JMO, while harder to play with gamepad for me, the graphics are know where near
the last 4 years of PC version.
Way to many control points you see, and jags for that matter.
And yes, you see them from time to time on the stocks here too.
More realistic and less cartoonish (;animated) on my end anyway. (;PC that is)

I didn't communicate that very well....... I mean that the variety of hardware used by the PC community makes it much harder for game developers to make a product that works well for everyone........... not so with consoles, where everyone has the same hardware...........
