Hi, Im guessing that I must be leaving out a crucial step or something but...
Im working in course architect, and I plant some trees using the picker tool. When I load up the course in TW 08 it gets about half way through loading and then crashes.
If I remove all the trees on the course and recompile and load the course in 08, it loads up just fine.
It doesn't matter if there are 3000 trees or only one tree. I've tried multiple libraries trees (one at a time) and they all seem to produce the same problem for me.
Any clues? |

| This may be a simple question, but it is worth asking. Are you sure you have the same libraries installed in both TW2006 and in TW08? You must have the libraries installed in TW2006 to use them in the Course Architect, but then you have to have any libraries that you used on your course also installed in TW08 in order to play the course. |

Im pretty sure that I do, as when I load the course into 08 with Caddie, it doesnt warn me about any libraries that are missing. Plus Im pretty sure that all the libraries that I loaded into TW 06 (;to use with the course architect) I also loaded into 08.
Its very strange, even using the foresting method of planting trees produce the crash. Bushes on the other hand dont seem to produce the crash, nor buildings, only trees. |

Actually you may be correct to some degree.
I removed almost all the libraries from course architect (cloaked them), and created a new one course hole and plopped some trees from Cog hILL, compiled, installed in 08 and it played fine with the trees.
Im guessing that there must be a library that I must have missed and it seems that CA doesn't release libraries once an item was placed on the course even if you remove that item the library is still listed in the course properties which seems rather odd and might be causing the problem too.

the CLTool also has a 'fix sticky libraries' feature, to identify left overs once a library is no longer used
details in the Help file i believe |
