Howdy, I am new to using the course architect and have a question about the libs attached to each course you create. I have put together my 1st. course that I think is worth posting to the site. When I went through it to see how many libs are attached to it, it had a bunch. So I went through and made sure that all objects and textures were from the same libs to get the count down. But after I made sure that I was only using a few libs, should be about 4 or 5. I check to see how many was listed and it showed 15 libs. Yes I did open all of them to look at what was in them, and I tried this tree or that bench mabe this texture or that 1 and then decided on which i wanted to use. But the list shows every lib I opened even when I did not use that lib for the final draft. So I have a course that is only using 5 libs but the list says 15. How do I get rid of the unused libs from the list so there is not so many listed as attached to this course before I upload it to the site?
Thanks |

I use CLTool to find out which objects/textures I've used from each library. And it will remove any "sticky" libraries -- libraries that you used at one point, but are still shown as being used on the course in Course Properties.
Create a new project in CLTool. You can then check library details to see which textures and objects from each library are being used. Note that the first object/textures is numbered 0 then 1,2,3 etc. You can also hit the button to fix sticky libraries (you'll be asked to save your tca as a new file).
CLTool is also handy when converting an old course to TW08. I make note of the textures and objects used from each of the old stock libraries. After changing the textures, I go thru using the CTRL/double-click method to change plantings. |

Cloaking Tool : When you have a lot of libraries installed( +50 libraries) in TW06 game, Course architect will not work anymore or will become unstable. But there is a great tool available: Cloaking Tool. With Cloaking tool you can cloak ( disable) libraries you don t need in your new course, so course architect will run much better when you cloaked.
You can download Cloaking Tool on this site. On homepage of coursedownloads on top go to section: Utilities...... Inside go to section TW06......and choose: Course design tools......inside you will find cloaking tool. There is also Help section ( how to use ) inside Cloaking Tool. |
