I've downloaded two courses (agusta and carnoustie), both have black grass. Can anyone help?

Since you didnt list what kind of video card you have, we cannot tell for certain. However, that would be the first thing I think it would be. If you have any kind of integrated video card (;video integrated in the motherboard, such as an Intel based video card) then that is the definitely the problem. Your only option to fix the problem would be to have a stand-alone video card (;nVidia or ATI).
Custom courses are much tougher to render for you system, if you compare with the stock courses. So it is possible your video card can handle the stock courses, but not the custom courses.
