Hi,
I dont want to waste your bandwidth when downloading some courses so Im wondering if the course there is a way to determine if I already have the right version of the files that are included in the myzip files that I would download for a course.

For example, I might download something like Agusta 08 that might contain a Architect file, and I might download midnight course that also contains an Architect file, thus duplicating the download and burning bandwidth unnecessarily.

Is there just a standard set of libraries somewhere on the site that I should download all at one time so that I have them all, and then only download certain files from the course files so that I dont end up redownloading files and burning through your bandwidth? Not that I plan to download a lot of courses, but some do look interesting enough to me to want to download them.

Thanks,

There is a feature built into our site called MyLibraries. When you go to a course page and see the required libraries needed for the course, you will see either a red X or a green check mark beside that library. If you have not downloaded a particular library, you will see the red X. If you have, you see the green check. If you only click on the boxes beside the red Xs, then you will only be downloading the libraries that you dont have.

One other nice things is that you can synchronize the libraries on your system if you use the TW Caddie 08 program to install your courses. If you use that feature in the Caddie, it will prompt you for your username/password here on the site and it will then take the libraries you have installed in your TW game and mark them with a check mark here. It is a great way to keep your libraries in check and see what libraries you have/need for courses.

I hope that helps.

Okay, I think Ive figured it out, I sync my libraries in the TW Caddie 08 with the site so that when I then download a course it automatically eliminates my needing to redownload the same files over again.

What a great tool. Thank you very much for it, and the courses

Edit: Thank you for the information, apparently we were typing at the same time.

Does TW caddie 08 work with TW 2006 or 2007?

Since I don't have TW 2008 yet I haven't downloaded it.

Thanks

Only works for 08. If you have an earlier version, you will need to either use the Course Utilities program that comes with TW or CLSetup to install your courses/libraries. If you use CLSetup, make sure to download the version that works with your version of the game.

i have tw06 loaded. i have 196 library files. some of the files i have downloaded from you continue to show up as not having been downloaded. for instance i have a library called Ts n Stakes 2004 loaded. but every time i load something with this library it shows a red x next to it saying that i dont have it. any reason you can think of as to why it's not being picked up? thanks.
