Pardon my ignorance once again, but if you download 2007 add-on courses, will they work on the TW2008 pc gaming software?? Thank you.

Yes TW07 custom courses will work in TW08 game, but you will have to install some extra TW07 stock libraries in TW08 game.
TWCaddie 08 will tell you what libraries are missing. Do a search in libraries section for the missing files , and install in TW08 game.
Another problem is that you will not see a logo and text file for TW07 custom courses in TW08 game, but TWCaddie08 will install a replacement logo and text file.

(Note: TW06 custom courses(and older) will not work very well in TW08 game )
