With no TW09 coming out, has there been any word on how long they will support the 08 title and keep the online availability up and running?

No word has been given and probably wont be given until 30 days before they shut them down. However, EA still has the 06 and 07 servers running, so I would expect that we will get at least another year or two on the 08 servers before they are shut down.
