recently i have been experiencing some weird anomolies...

I set a shot up to pitch (expert level) and i double check everything before i play my shot and when i hit the ball its as if the pc has not recognised a pitch shot and hits it as if full shot is selected. It can be quite frustrating when you have a pitch of 50yds to the pin and you see your ball fly 25-30yds past the green.

just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, it only seems to happen to me when i play expert level

done that alot in expert i find it happens to me when i choose pitch but then change clubs after choosing the pitch shot, if you get the wrong club it defaults back to full and if you are not paying attention you get the great shot of your ball flying over the green and ,in my case, a lot of swearing as well

Andy, this happens to me a lot. Im a pretty experienced X player, so, like you, Im careful about what club I hit. Ive noticed lately that my lob pitch sometimes flies well beyond what the prescribed yardage is. I just attribute it to a flyer lie......:-p

i guess that would be it....

however i have noticed also that deep rough (only) varies up to 40% depending on which course you play..which adds to the element of real play on expert (but does give a bigger advantage on the other levels as the club distance is already stated

Well, Ive noticed for a long time that if Im greenside in a bunker, and the default club is SW, it will give me the yardage for a fairway bunker. If I change to LW, and then change back to SW, Ill get default GREENSIDE yardage for a SW. Perhaps it will help to change clubs a couple of times before hitting..........

Or you can move the shot slider bar a hair and then back again and it will change the club distance to the proper one. It has been a bug in the 08 game since day one.
