Ive been playing online for a little more than a year now and over that time have had some pretty nice shots. A few aces, a couple double eagles and some nice eagles from the fairway. Everytime I happen to pull of a nice shot, my playing partner is usually stunned and says something to the effect of must have been a gift from EA, was no where close here. Ive also had my playing partners hit some good shots, most of the time I see them go in, but on a few occassions, I didnt. I just had an eagle from about 170 out and on my screen, I seen the whole shot and watched it go in, my opponent on the other hand said that it landed 20 feet from the pin on his screen. Is this a common occurance that no one seems to see good shots?

This seems to be a common occurence - especially on trans-Atlantic or long distance games, which I play a lot with my club. Your opponent often doesnt see the same shot result as you do locally. I have shot an ace that looked wide from my point of view, but my opponent and scorecard recorded 1 stroke. This is similar to mis-hit kills in FPS games. Many factors such as lag, different processors, graphics chips etc all contribute to the different views of the game.
