not quite sure if this is the right location for this thread and i apologize in advance if it is not, but i need some help with hosting a TW 08 game. i have had every this game every year since 99 and this is a first for me. when i attempt to host a game i go thru all the normal steps and when i start the game it gives me Couldnt create game, name might already be in use.. i have tried changing the host name, golfers name, and room name, but the error still comes up. if anyone has any info for me it would be greatly appreciated. again i appologize if this isnt the right location. thanks!

If you are running a home network that has a router involved or if you are running firewall software, this could be the cause of the problem. I know I was never able to host an IP-IP game with TW directly through the TW game software because of the network settings I had set up.

One way you can get around this is to use a program called Hamachi to set up a virtual private network (VPN) between you and the others that want to play. All of you will need to have Hamachi installed in order for this to work, but it works very well. I am attaching a PDF tutorial on how to set up Hamachi for use with TW.
