| after I saw that you can change the blimps in the game and create you rown golf balll, I started to poke around deeper in some of the games files to see what else I could modify. And ran into some walls, so does anyone know what else can be changed...can I change the logos on hats & shirts like I can on the golf balls? I would think that it would just be a .dds file aswell. If anyone can give me some insight on this I would really aprecciate it. |

I am almost positive that you canot alter logos on hats and shirts. Usually however, there are unlockable items within the game which include players and additional equiptment. In the past there has always been someone who has figured out the code to make these items available without progressing through the entire game before having access to these items. I have checked everywhere I could think of and as of right now no one has figured out how to unlock these items for TW08. |

what is locked?
nothing i know of in 08, with a basic pro player, you have enough $$ to purchase everything
in previous years the unlocked golfers were done by divot, by playing the game all the way through and earning the items - then making the entire player file(s) available
the clothing .dds files you can see/find are for gameface, they are not the ones you use in the game
there is a way to alter shirts, lgos etc using a third party program called TexMod but you need to run the program to start TW, and others cant see the clothing etc changes unless they also have the files and run the program
a waste of time for me |

| We use a modified cls at PGAX which many of our players have also put into their game. It shows a modified Blimp and also the galleries have the PGAX logo on their shirts. Dont need the TEXMOD prog on each pc to use it tho. |

I downloaded the program but I am really confused about how to use the TEXMOD program to do the editing...now I may not have been clear about my intentions...I would like to basically make my own logos and have them in the game, I would love to make Titliest hats, make bunch of different colered taylormade hats...If this is the kind of stuff you are talking about...then please can you give me some more info on how to go forward with this...thnx |

yes, you can do that with TexMod
you basically grab an image from the game/gameface (ie put a hat on your player, start TexMod, grab that hat image, export it to a graphics program, add your logo or whatever, save it, start TW from TexMod,then it will show in game)
there are a few tutorials around, try google but this one is easiest i think: http://www.tombraiderhub.com/tr7/modding/texmod/tutorial.html remember, with TexMod only you can see the graphic changes/add-ons others need to have the same file and also be using TexMod to start th egame |

hat files?
open TW go into gameface select the clothing icon select hats choose/buy a hat for your player that you want to modify
then when you run TexMod like the tutorial says, youll be grabbing the hat texture as you hit + or - to cycle through the textures
the page you want to be at during this is the gameface room with your player standing there, wearing the hat you chose/purchased - as each texture is selected, it becomes green
note: i just tried one and i had to go through 300+ textures to get there |

| I have started work on changing all the EA Sports junk in the game to real life balls and clubs. It started with me just wanting to use the actual clubs and balls and such that I own personally ingame, then I realised I can change a lot of things to make the game feel even more realistic. I changed the old Taylor Made r7 425 driver to the r7 Draw Driver that I use, and the r7 irons to the r7 Draw irons. I changed one of the Precept balls to the Slazenger balls I use, and the generic EA Sports ball that everyone uses to the Titleist Pro V1. I changed (but am still tweaking because of EAs weird club design) some of the EA Sports fairway woods to Titleist 906f2s. I need some suggestions on which club, not included ingame, that I should replace the main generic EA Sports driver that a lot of the AI seem to use (thinking about the Titleist 907D2, or maybe even something from Maxfli or Adams). Also need some suggestions for which irons to use to replace EAs. Heres a quick shot of some stuff Ive changed, the r7 Draw driver and a more realistic r7 hat and Adidas shirt. |
