Here is an update from Dean at CPG.
You can read the full thread here...
http://www.customplaylive.com/forum/showthread.php?p=690#post690
You may have to signup to read the Forums, Im not sure.
(Digital version = downloadable)
Please post any questions over at the CPG site as this is primarily a TW site.
(Tru... If you have a reason for not wanting CPG info posted on your site, of course please feel free to remove it).
Dave.
We hope to start selling the digital version of CPGolf 2 shortly, possibly next week.
There will be a new demo soon, this will include an entire, licensed, 9 hole course, called Sharjah - http://www.golfandshootingshj.com/home.htm
Next week we will make new versions of the 15 original stock courses available, that will play and hopefully look much better. As the file size will be too big for an automatic update they will be optional extras available to download from CustomPortal.
from May we will offer a regular monthly update on the last Friday of each month. We have 8 or 9 real, licensed courses lined up and we will give one away, for free, each month, starting with Le Fontainebleau in Canada - http://en.clublink.ca/golf/golfcours...COURSE_ID=2500
We are aiming to release a Mini / Crazy Golf demo in a couple of weeks or so followed by a digital release.
Ive probably forgotten something but hopefully thats enough to keep you busy for a while!
Cheers,
Dean, CPG. |

Dave,
Thanks for getting the word out about CPG2. I have been beta testing this for a couple of months and the progress and number of updates from user-generated feedback has been frankly astonishing to me. I have done a 180 degree turnaround in my opinion of CPG, especially with the progress that CPG2 has made. I cant wait to see what talented course designers are able to do with the Course Creator. For the first time in several years, I am finally juiced about a new PC Golf simulation..... |

I have no problem with CPG. Ill take a look at CPG2 just as I did with CPG and evalulate if we want to host courses for that game genere. Wouldnt take much to do since all we would have to do is copy the database strucutre for this site. |

I dont know wether this falls under thr Extra Game Modes heading or not. A big issue with a lot of players has always been the ability to create custom tours. |

With the digital retail release of the game expected tomorrow we are glad to announce that the CPG2 Course Architect Tutorial is now available from the downloads section at the Customplay Live site. It covers the basics in getting started in what must be the most user friendly Designer ever coded for a golf game. Thanks to Rich for coding such a great tool for the Community.
Thanks to Brian Sivernail, Joe Habiger, for their writing efforts and time, and BJ for letting me use his quick bunker tutorial.
In the first monthly update, avaialble end of May, we will be including 4 or 5 new game cameras.
BJ and Tim wanted to share a list of courses that have been done that will be making their way to CPG2 over the coming months, these courses are constructed already but are just waiting to have a final pass thru for some tweaks before we release them to the public. We wanted to share this info so people can see what is to come in the line of courses for release at Customplay Live. Right now we are thinking that we can get 1-2 courses a month minumum out depending on how busy we are....Below is a list of courses in alpha order, the top (Above The Line) courses will be the ones released first. The rest will be picked out on random as we go, there is no order we have decided on yet. Without further ado here is the list:
The Links @ Spanish Bay Doral Resort - Blue Monster Course Tanah Merah - Gardens Course Emirates Golf Club - Majlis Course Hazeltine National Golf Club Rollandia Par 3 Course
Abu Dhabi Golf Club - National Course Amendoeira Resort - Faldo Course Amendoeira Resort - OConnor Course Carnoustie CarrigGlas Golf & Country Club Cog Hill Dubsdread Doha Golf Club - Championship Course Doral Resort - Great White Course Emirates Golf Club - Majlis Course Estonian Golf & Country Club Gut Kaden Golf & Country Club Hamlet on the Hudson Innisbrook Resort - Copperhead Course Innisbrook Resort - Islands Course Kennemer Golf Club Kingsbarns Golf Links Old Head Golf Links Pebble Beach Golf Links PGA National at The Belfry Redstone Golf Club - Tournament Course Royal Golf Club @ Riffa Views Spyglass Hill Golf Course St Andrews Golf Links - Jubilee Course St Andrews Golf Links - New Course St Andrews Golf Links - Old Course Sunningdale Golf Club The Belfry - Brabazon Course The Celtic Manor Resort - Montgomerie Course The Celtic Manor Resort - Twenty Ten Course The Coeur dAlene Golf Resort Turnberry - Ailsa Course Warwick Hills Golf & Country Club
(We also want to add that these courses are courses that were never released but made in golf 1...all original designers should and will get full credit.)

New course: Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club Added the Chase Ball shot camera Added the Fixed-to-lie shot camera Added the Fixed-to-lie (Tracking) shot camera Improved the Fixed Tracking camera Added the TV Style Behind Pin shot camera Added the TV Style Destination shot camera Added Random shot camera option Snap-to-lie, Fixed-to-lie and Fixed-to-lie (tracking) have all have their cameras raised Player can now specify default shot camera for normal shots and for putts - these are stored with the player but can be TEMPORARILY overriden via the Shot Cameras menu option in game. Golf ball is artificially scaled when further from the camera Added a Side Hill Lie grid - displays a 2m square grid around the ball to assist reading the side-hill lie of the ball Player stats are now recorded when playing in CustomPlay or online Player stats can be viewed from the Players screen via Options from the main menu BUG FIX: On green - shot would not always line up with the pin BUG FIX: SpeedTree billboards now take into account the trees height offset BUG FIX: When cutting out the holes for the cups, it was possible that tiny triangles would remain - making it very difficult to get the ball in! Well worth the investment people. I picked it up recently and its game play physics are second to none. Be prepared for the ultimate challenge when reaching the greens. I truly believe I putt better in real life than I do in CPG2 lol, but loving every minute of the challenge. Good people running the show too. They are very responsive to user input in improving the game. |
