| I have tried to play this course offline, through using the custom setup. I cannot find the course at all. No logo no nothing. But, I can set an online matchup and play it that way. That means I do have the course installed correctly. Any reasons WHY, I cannot play or select this course to play offline? |

the course either installed or it didnt being able to play/select the course online suggests it did install
sounds like course installed but without a logo or splash (on your PC anyways) look on the course selection page when setting up a custom game offline, courses are listed alphabetically there should be a blank spot in the C section
click on that to start the course ... then see why the logo and/or splash is not there (if the course text file did not install, youll get an error message, ignore it and carry on) |

| I had the same problem. You need to do what Gun outlined in the course comments for this course, it will then show up in the game. |

I was wondering if the staff could fix the file names in the course folder for my 08 releases so that this problem would not happen using the TW caddie. The courses are not compress at all, so the files just need to be re-named. I am sorry for being not aware of this before I uploaded these last two courses.

| I updated the files in the zip file, but they make no difference in solving this problem. When the Caddy program creates the file folder for the course as it installs it, it takes the name directly from how the architect named their course. When you named the course in the CA program, Im guessing that you put a space at the end of the name. When I looked at the course name in the Registry, I am seeing a space at the end of the course which I am not seeing at the end of other courses. The Caddy program is seeing that space and is creating a folder named Carolina Starling instead of Carolina Starling. This may be something that can be addressed in a future version of the Caddy program, but there is nothing I can do to the course zip itself to fix the problem. |

Jeff,
That makes sense, went in the course file and I saw a space.
The course name of the TCA file is also different than the name of the course, not sure if that matters.
I can re-upload the course, with the same guid with no space at the end. I can change the space at the end, and use a different guid. Or I can do nothing. What is best for this site and the people who play this game, I really dont know. Whatever you guys think is best. |

| If you want to recompile it without the space at the end, as long as it has the same GUID everything should be fine. Just make sure you remove the space from the filename and from the Properties area in the CA. If you reupload it, just reupload the TCR. I will take it, verify that the GUID is the same and then replace the one in the current zip file. |

I am uploading just the course file, just replace it in the folder, and let me know if it works.
Thanks again, nice to have you back around..... |

| The course has been updated to include the newly compiled TCR file. I uninstalled the old version and reinstalled using the new one and this did fix the problem. I will add a note to the notes on the course that users that previously downloaded the course can download this updated version and it will fix the problem. |

| Its not your fault its the Caddies fault. For some reason SOME courses have a trailing space i nthere name in the tcr file. When you install the course its renamed to match the name in the tcr file. I have a patched version of TW Caddie that addresses this but Im waiting to see if there are any more issues before releasing it. |

| i find the best thing to do on all courses i install is to click on the button to the right of the path (in TW Caddie course properties) his then ensures the files are in the correct places and solves all issues regarding missing logos splashes etc..... works every time for me |
