I dont want to sound like a fool, but when you download this file for the custom blimps, Pro V1 golf ball etc...do you use the new course a libraries installer to put them into the game?

Thanks!

There should be a help text file in the downloaded zip file.

But no these utils require a manual overwriting of existing tigerwoods system file/files.

For the blimps - you will see a folder in your courses folder named generic in this folder is a folder named cls and a file inside called cls.tbf, this is the file you need to overwrite with the new one.

No it is not a library.
It is CLS file ( Course life system file).
When you go to default path below:

C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\Generic\cls

Inside the CLS folder is file ( CLS.tbf ) located, it is the file with the EAsports stock blimp.
When you replace it with the custom CLS.tbf file.....you will see the custom blimp.
So now you will see the custom blimp in all custom and stock courses where you could see the EAsports blimp before. When you play for example Harbour town stock course....now you will see the custom blimp.

Which folder do you need to add the Pro V1 golf ball in?

Ill look into creating an installer for the add-ons. Problem would be file paths are different depending on PC.

i considered a self extracting .exe for the various ones i did (which included a .bak file of the original)
but yeah - users need to change the install location if they have a non default installation (like i do)
- and need to back up original files first if no back ups included

Just switched to the Goodyear blimp, it blows away the stock EA blimp. Awesome job Wizards, adds to the realism of the game.

Nice blimps guys. Id also like to try making some but I cant find any info that tells me how to edit the .tbf file. I use Photoshop, so if any of you know of a plugin or something similar, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

I believe you will have to do it with furrycats extractor, you can download furrycats extractor on link below:
( Note: there is read me file included )

( Furrycats extractor: allows you to extract images from the CLS folder, modify them, and repackage them to be viewable in the game )

right you are GP

use furrycats to extract (unpack) the cls.tbf file in
C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Courses\Generic\cls

modify the blimp.dds file using an image editor

pack the cls.tbf file when done and paste it into the folder above
(rename/save the original for backup)
