| Will this become rule of thumb now? Will you have to use the new installer in order to retrieve logos, flags and such in all the new customs from now on? Or is it up to each individual designer how these items are packed within the course. I myself prefer the good old Course Utlities program and really didnt want to get involved with having to use a new program to install custom courses and libs into the TW08 game. |

There is no Course Utilities Program for Tiger Woods 2008. As for Rule of thumb, I am testing a new auto validator for the site that auto validates courses as there uploaded. The validation takes place based off the new program, as it is the only one officially available for Tiger Woods 2008 at the current time.
I can understand alot of people are resistant to change and can respect that, but I do not support the use of unauthorized programs, without the orginal creators permission. |

| I am aware that there is no CU for 08. There is however the modified version which works perfectly in 08. I am hesitant of using the new program for one main reason. I have learned through several years of experience that the game runs a lot smoother if the libs are seperated into individual folders within the games course folder file instead of being loosely assembled as a group in the course folder. My stock libs are arranged according to year in the corresponding to year stock folders. All my 02 to 06 custom libs are in one folder. The 07 custom or conversion libs if you will, in another and the 08 created customs in still another. Using the CU it is very easy for me to keep them seperated and in proper order. My concern is that the new program will fowl things up by wanting to put libs where I dont want them. And no, I am not using an illegal or unauthorized course and lib installation program. |

Understandable, You can install libraries wherever you want to install them with TW Caddie. Under properties theres an option ask for target directory during install....and then another option that says put libraries in dedicated subfolder.
Check the box next to ask for Target Directory and uncheck put libraries in dedicated sub-folder and it will work EXACTLY like how Course Utilities works but with a easier to use interface. I wrote the program so that you can perform the exact same actions that you could with Course Utilities or Clsetup.
As for thoughts about Unauthorized and Illegal...if you want to be argumentative then please go else where I dont like arguing about trivial things, we have different opinions on the meaning of unauthorized. Lets just leave it there. |

| There is a new forum for support for the caddy, try posting the problems you have in there, does it actually install? |

| "microsoft had a problem" |
LOL...sorry couldnt help it, that about sums it up.
I am going to post a Non Installer version of the program, you will loose a couple of features, namely the auto install feature, but can easily be remidied by follwing a few simple steps. |
