| This may be a stupid question, but Im gonna ask it anyway. I have every TW game except 02. I like using the career editor for 06 with my 07 game. I have seen many places that this will not work with 08. My question is, can I install the 08 stock libraries into 07, and then use 08 custom courses in 07? I know, like I said, it was a stupid question. I just prefer to play offline in a tour season the some what mirrors the real thing. |

only stupid question if you dont ask :)
yes, they play fine
the splash screen is a different format, so it wont install with clsetup
but you can make the picture link using CU07 to the coursename.dds file
(ie KHC.dds is the splash for The K Club) |

| The mere fact that you have to juggle courses and libraries around to make the 06 editor functional is what angers me the most about the attitude of the TW designing team. If you are not a perdominantly online player like yourself and many others like you I might add then you are hung out to dry as far as the 08 game is concerned. Your choices are, either play the lame tours that are part of the 08 game or play custom rounds which of course are limited to 18 holes only. To make things even worse, the computer opponents or the custom players you create play to the ability of about a 10 to 15 handicapper. It used to be that a couple of game platforms ago you were able to adjust a computer players attributes so that they actually played like pros. Even that has gone by the wayside in both the 07&08 games. The only way now to have any competition is to strictly play against the leaderboard. |
