| As a relative newcomer Ive got a couple questions regarding online play. First of all on the time setting for playing each hole. Up to this point Ive only had one warning on the shot clock, but never a second so I have no idea what the penalty is for a shot clock violation? And secondly Ive noticed that some people, many with high rankings have a huge percentage of disconnects. Ive seen people in the 1800 and over range with disconnects in the 40% range. Well, I know anyone can have an occasional disconnect from a bad connection but please just dont tell me that your rating is unaffected if your getting beat by a few strokes and you bail on the last hole. That must be the case as anyone with a 40% disconnect couldnt possibly maintain that high of a ranking unless it was not decreasing it when they did. If so, that just boggles my mind that anyone would go through all that effort to maintain a ranking in a golf game. I dont win often, lol but a couple times in the last week Ive had people disconnect on the last hole just before I was about to get a win. Just seemed like quite a coincidence. As a newcomer I havent learned all the ins and outs of online play, so...do people avoid playing those with ridiculous disconnect percentages? Also, If someone leaves your game do you get a win and an increased rating if you simply finish your round regardless of what you shoot? Thanks |

Hi....
When you have 3( i believe) warnings about shot clock you will have message: This is you final warning !!! Next time ( warning 4 ) your opponent will have option: 1)to remove you from game 2)to not remove you from game.
About disconnection on last hole.....sometimes can happen, but i am afraid a lot of people are playing for ratings...and not for fun.
When opponent leaves game: you will receive the money ( tokens) but your ratings will not increase. And also opponent (who left the game) his ratings will not decrease. |

Thanks for the info sir, much appreciated. Your last couple comments about the opponent leaving so he doesnt lower his rating and the person who is winning not getting his just reward, pretty much makes a joke out of the whole rating system doesnt it? What is the point of even having a rating system if its that easy to manipulate. Seems it would be very easy to write the code in such a way that you are allowed say up to 10% or whatever number you come up with, and after that your **** out of luck. Id be embarrased to see my name up there with 30-40% disconnects. I dont know how you could even get a game. |
