I am sure there is already a post here somewhere in regards to this but I felt this needed to be restated because FROM time to time I hear disgruntled comments and problems in conjunction with both the 07 & 08 games, and the revision of their respective game engines. So if you are thinking of revamping your old machine or are in the market for a new one, there are a couple of things to look for before shelling out the bucks. Three main items to look for are a processor with descent speed, a solid higher end graphics card and a power supply of 500 watt or better. Also make sure you have a hardrive with generous capacity and sufficient memory or ram. Make sure that your case is well vented, overkill does not hurt in this area. You will be running at warmer temperatures so dont fry that video card. A couple of years ago all this stuff would add up to a considerable investment. Fortunately the prices have come down considerably on all these goodies. Lastly, I know a lot of people have jumped on the Vista Bandwagon. I dont how many of you remember all the issues XP had when it was first released. XP works great for me with no issues that are related to the TW Platform. As far as I am concerned, I will wait another year before venturing down the Vista highway. One last thing as far as Monitors go. It doesnt really matter if you prefer CRT, LCD or LCD Widessreen. Just make sure whatever your preverence, that the monitor is able to produce resoloutions of at least 1600+ in the TW08 game. Speaking FROM my own experience I can tell you that there is a hell of a lot of difference in viewing a course at say 1280x1024 as opposed to 1680x1050.
