Havin a ball with this game cept have come across a bit of a problem... On 3 occasions trying to play the bosses just after I give it the swing and befor my golfer swings my computer freezes and I have to reboot. Happens the same each time. As its raining and miserable I really dont mind except this happens in Sept and of course I cant proceed so I have to go to next year and Im not sure what effect this has. Have had a couple of other freezes when playing my buddies Zack and Dave, in similar circumstances but have been able to replay after reboot OK. Anyone else have this prob?

A little further on this...Have noticed it seems to occur when there is inclement weather..ie fog / rain. havin same prob right now with Zack..(3 times) and all at St. Andrews.
Rob Im playing the 07 game with the patch. I have a dual core 6700 @ 2.66 GHz, 4 g Ram and a Geforce 8800 GTS vid card,DirX 9.0c so dont think its a computer prob
This freeze happened again at an American course and once again foggy...Am sure it has something to do with the inclement weather....Have turned off rain and fog and it seems to be stable. |

Two things come to mind...
Have you tried setting your dual core CPU affinity to a single processor when TW07 is running? This has helped some, but I dont think this is your issue because I am running the game on a dualcore E6850 and have not touched the affinity. I am also running the game on an ATI HD 2900XT and have had one crash in over 24 hours of gameplay.
Secondly, you may be one of the growing number of nVidia users who are running into driver issues with TW07 and 08...the EA forums have quite a number of nVidia user complaints for 08.... |

was a known issue in 07 with some users/systems |

| Thanks guys..All your help was appreciated, and as JB says I think Ive found my prob. have put over a couple of hrs since ditching the fog/rain settings and all seems Ok...Hope so anyway.....Now if I could only wallop some of these guys!!!!...lol, |
