Im just not getten it, could someone explain it for me?
If the first person to rate a course, rates it A Nice Job or a 3 rating, then the next 20 people give it a 1 (Needs Work) wont it still look like it is rated as a 3?
I think I got it figured out. It would change the overall rating..

Not sure what your asking but Ill give it a shot. First Rating is a 3, Formula would be:
TotalPoints/TotalVotes = Rating
So 3/1 = 3
The Course has a Overall Rating of a 3 (Nice Job)
Second equation:
Total Points = 23 and Total Votes = 21
SO.... 23/21 = 1.0952380952380952380952380952381
Formula Goes to the nearest Half point so the course rating would be a 1 (needs work).
Hope that answers your question.
You know I do like the idea of going to a rating that only shows what you rated the course but shows the arch the overall rating. |

Thank You TruBluMich, I think I got it now..
I believe it balances itself out according to how many votes and what ratings each one gives. So the rating can go up or down...
