Yes and no, it is a little more complex than that.
If you are talking about the players you use in the game, the file will transfer, but you also need to set up the other files as well. (The picture of the player will not transfer you need to write down all the features of the player, than plug them in.) You will also kind of need to know what each file does, which files needs to be transferred and which needs to be deleted.
If you are talking about building a custom tour, if the .plr works in years past, than it will work in any game. EAsports to me was kind of lazy on this feature, cause the same players play well over and over. They leave guys in custom tours, that don’t even have a tour card ! Unless you understand what you are doing, I would say leave .plr file that are issued for the players who show up in the game were they are. DO NOT mix them in to a custom tour. You can mix the custom tours from years past though....Just create a new folder, were the game reads the custom tours from, and than cut and paste your own tour. |

Many thanks for the info they also seem interchangable, I created a PGAEuro Tour and copied the euro players, all worked.
I take it the players you created were just pro players with 75 attributes? |

75 attributes? No that is not correct, I figured out how to advance the players with out having to go through TW boot camp. You can download them from this site. If for example you created Lee Westwood, and like your player better, here is what you do. Cause my file comes unlocked, you copy the .plr file in the you mydoc/tw08/career/player. Next copy the following files, .aia, hal, and cal, place them in mydoc/tw08/abilities. Than load up TW08, click on your player aka Lee Westwood, he make look different, than click in to the game face, (Than he will be yours) You can now move his stats up if you please. (You will have to re-set all of his stuff, clothes, clubs, golf balls, ects.....
The custom tour is a little different, cause you need to set the stats before you load them in to the game. I have already done this, and basically have most of the euro-tour on file. I never uploaded that file here, you can PM my account with your email, and I can send you a custom tour file, it is pretty easy to use. Also all of the files, if used to create custom players will have enough stuff to make them accurate, you can add to their attributes. I can tell you more later...... |
