Hi guys,

Seems everytime I go on line I get amessage saying ATL Jabber has encountered a problem and has to close.

I have only been booted about 3 times since getting the game but today I was booted 3 times in 3 games.

I dont think its causing me to get booted as I think my ISP is having problems.

Probably the other way round.

Anyone know why I should be getting this problem wath Jabber?

Thanks

Hi.....
You can try to clean your pc: ....Temporary files, URL history, cookies, Autocomplete form history, index.dat.
A very good / free program is Ccleaner:

if its the ATLJabber program getting errors, then ISP connection issues could cause it

could be firewall issues:
EASports ATLJabber and EASPorts Online Matchup Application need to be authorized through your firewall
(ATLJabber.exe and Sportswrapper.exe in the C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\EA SPORTS online folder)
- the first when you sign into EASO, the second when you click on Match-up or Tournaments
- uncheck/delete them and let them be blocked to get a firewall alert (may need to alt/tab to your desktop), then reauthorize them

or could be a corrupt file:
reinstall the online components
from the \CommonEASO folder on your DVD,
EASOInstaller.exe is the install program

I ran Ccleaner and found 98mb of rubbish and deleted the lot. However the problem remained.

I tried to run easo.exe from my disc but nothing happened, so i copy and pasted directly into the file.

That still hasnt helped.

On my errror report msvcr70.dll shows up so I ran a search and replaced the ones on my comp but still get the same result.

I
The game still plays ok but it is increasingly annoying.

I guess unless someone has another idea I will have to do a dreaded reinstall to try and solve the problem

Thanks

Hmm....you have big loading times between holes ? ......there is a fix for that problem: you will have to set the 2 files in your player confidence folder to: Read only .
Some help on link below:

I have no problem with time between holes. I did have a while back but remade my player and that solved the problem.

However I followed the instructions on this website and have now changed the files to read only just in case.

My problem remains and I am now getting a error.

Incidentally it only happens when I log in. It sends me to desktop, but when I go back into game, I can go to lobby, clubs, tournaments and play etc without a hitch.
