Hi, folks!

Im new to TW PGA Tour Golf, having just purchased TW2004 (runs great on my Radeon x850xt). Ive played a lot of MS Links golf and have enjoyed the work of several top-notch course designers, real artists, many who are actually paid for their work, even now.
My question: who are the real artists of the TW PGA Tour course architects? What examples of their work should be downloaded by all players? Particularly for me, what are the absolute stand-out courses for TW2004, the ones that display real skill with the course architecture software? Are there any other sites I should look at for courses/guidance?
Ive been really impressed with the animation present in TW and some of the courses Ive seen, so far, as well, but am afraid some architects might be missing out on some well deserved exposure because they dont show up on the first few pages of the Most Downloaded/Visited course categories.
In addition, if anyone thinks I should upgrade from TW2004, please, let me know. Im able to run TW2004 1600x1200@32 bits and full details with no lag and would prefer to play under those graphical conditions - Im open to upgrading if I can still do so.

Thanks for all your help!

2004 we are going back a few years, please do yourself a favor an upgrade to 2008, it is a lot better. In my opinion, the custom courses for this game have gotten way better. 2004 is way out of date...In 04, I would say try these, Beartoothe Ravine, Augusta04, Oakhill, Bear Claw Valley, and their are a few others.......Try some of the Chingu courses. But than....spend the $39.99 on 08, new courses will be coming out weekly at this site......

I agree with Hyno, that the overall appearance of especially the Custom Courses has dramatically improved over the years. I think mainly because of the new texture and lighting techniques that were employed starting in TW07. Being an old Links player myself, I will tell you however, do not expect the kind of detail from the TW CA as the APCD renders for the Links platform. This is especially noticeable in houses and other buildings designed around the courses. Most of them still look like lifeless cardboard boxes. As far as 04 top designer go, the masters were Damma & Dammpa. Although most of their courses were designed around the Olympia Mountains, which resulted in a lot of repetative panos the attention they gave to detail in their designs was rivaled by none. You will have no trouble locating their 04 courses because there are a bunch of them at this site.
