Hi...... When you have CLsetup08..... First click: CLsetup.exe........and close popup screen......and on top you will see: Options...inside click: Properties. Now you will see: INSTALLATION PATHS.......and in ROOT box.....you will have to browse for tw 08 game......and click: OK (default path is: C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08)
When you Did this you are ready to install custom courses.
How can you do that ? dubble click CLsetup.exe.....and popup box will appear. In this popup box you will have to find the folder where you downloaded course+all libraries (zip files) So in this popup screen browse for the downloaded libraries+course zip files. When you found dubble click each library zip file ...and agree with all questions. Do this with all libraries (zip files) At last dubble click Course zip file and course+libraries will be installed in TW08 game.
Note: When you have error message of missing file.....write down the name of missing file....go to coursedownloads.....Library section( here you can download missing file)...when found install also with CLsetup08. |

Yes it is possible jlloyd......
But even without a logo added you can find the added courses:
you can just click in the empty dimple area and you will see the splash screen and course text appear to the right in the course selection area. Courses are listed in alphabetical order in the course selection list, so that should help you find the course you are looking for.
Note: When you download a custom TW08 course you will have no problems, they all have a logo added in course file. |

Modified version are out.
CLSetup 08 Modified
http://www.tw-online-magazine.co.uk/89.html
CU Modified
http://www.coursedownloads.com/forum/uploa.../1444321777.zip
Both work same as they ever did so no new learning curve needed. When installing older courses into 08 (or designing), it is helpful to use Jo Summers modified. His modified CU includes a logo installer. This is additionally helpful if a designer doesnt include a logo in 08... but that is another lesson :) |

update to my last post......please put me right if needs be!
Just successfully installed Spanish Links - and it works just fine.
Soooooo relieved to see that custom courses can be downloaded to TW08 after all the panic over this issue since the start of the TW08 release.
Heres a few bits I observed during the last twenty minutes:
*The CL installer works just fine - first time. Brilliant - and thanx to whoever developed it.
*I noticed that Spanish Links appeared just fine in the game proper - appears in a honneycomb icon just like the other courses. But it isnt listed in the Course Utilities programme when I open it. All the libraries are there that I installed with the course, but the course itself isnt listed on the left with the other stock 08 courses.
*Graphically the course ran perfectly. But - no gallery, although there were gallery sound reactions. No commentary (although I didnt really miss that!)
*Confidence meter and update works even with downloaded courses, mores the pity (although I have read how to delete or disable this in another thread) |

I have tried to install custom courses using the TW caddie and while everything seems to have been installed (Course and the required librarys) I get a message when I try to use them saying "file not found, please select another course". The course is in the proper folder in TW2008. This has happened to every custom course I have tried to install. I use the direct zip method and everything shows up in the TW Caddie 08. |

Hi, You are probably using Win7 or Win8 or Vista. On Win7 or Win8 or Vista you have to run TWCaddie08 as administrator. Also be sure to install the correct version of TWcaddie08 ( 32bit or 64bit ).
Just follow the instructions below:
To install Tw08 courses, you need automatic installer: TWCaddie08
Below is some TWCaddie08 help, when you are using Win7 or Win8 or Vista. Instructions are for Win7, but same for Win8 or Vista.
First you have to know you have win7 32..... or win7 64 installed on your PC. Below is link how you can find that info about win7:
http://windows7themes.net/what-windows-version-do-i-have-32-or-64.html
(or on desktop go to: Start....Control panel...system and security...and click: System )
When you found out go to TWCaddie08 download page on link below:
http://www.coursedownloads.com/extras/category.asp?id=1&gameid=11
( Or on top of Coursedownloads homepage go to section: Utilities.....Utilities and files for TW08....Course installation tools )
On that page you will see 2 download links:
when you have win7 32.... download this one: TW Caddie 08 v1.5
when you have win7 64... download this one:
TW Caddie 08 x64 Beta
When you installed TWCaddie08 correct you will have TWCaddie08 icon on your desktop.
When you are using Win7 or Win8 or Vista, you have to run TWCaddie08 as administrator:
On desktop right click TWCaddie08 icon and choose: Properties......Compatibility....and on bottom check box: Run as administrator
And hit: Apply |

Sounds like you are missing libraries. Fastest way to check: Download the INDIVIDUAL course file only. Now use the 08 tool to uninstall the course. Now use it again to install your downloaded course file. During install, an error message will pop up listing any libraries that are missing for that particular course. |
