I have installed all my 07 courses and libraries into TW 08 useing Jeff Jarvis regit edit instructions. And I installed his many logo screens into TW 08 as well. But there are many courses that I have transfered to TW 08 that dont have logos. So how do I create a logo for each course that I placed into TW 08 that doesnt have one?

Use PS or SPS with nvidia dds plugins. Or get the EA LC from a previous year that contains the dxtex editor and convet a bmp to dds.

Hi...
You added TW07 custom courses in TW08 game with Registry edit.
So when you play TW07 course in TW08 game, TW08 will search in TW07 game for all required files.
When you want to add missing logo, you will have to add it in TW07 course folder. (only when you added courses with reg.edit).
There is a way to add logos but a lot of work.......
Jeff Jarvis created very nice file: TW08 logo pack 1......with missing logos of TW07 custom courses.
You can download on this site: Above shoutbox...look for: Utilities...inside select game: Tiger woods 2008...click go....and look in section: Game display.
How can you add missing logos:
You will have to unzip the downloaded course file first....when unzipped ....copy and paste one of the logos of TW08 logo pack1 in unzipped folder. When you added logo file rename file to: logo
so now you will have: logo.dds file
Now zip the folder and you will have same zip file as before but with logo.dds added.
Now uninstall course in TW07 game with CLsetup07and reinstall with the new zip file+logo.

So when you fixed all courses with missing logos....you will have to do the registry edit again i believe.
When you play course with TW08 you should see logo added.
But it is a lot of work....

Gunpower,
You can use course utilities with logo fix to put logos and splash screens into TW08. You do not have to do reg edit and you dont have to put them in Tw07.

Yes that is correct Ron......
I posted instructions for people who used regedit.
A lot of people used regedit to add TW07 custom courses in TW08 game, because some days ago it was the only way to add courses.
When you added courses to TW08 game with CLsetup or Courseutilities it is much easier to add logos.

Open Course utilities.....left side select a course....and in middle click: Properties...inside you will see: Course picture....here you can browse for splash file.

I got the updated CU with the logo option, but when I use it this is what I get.

I dont have a splash screen yet, but when I try to install the logo this is where it goes..

Any thoughts?

You will need a program with .dds (direct draw surface) support.
I am using Photoshop with dds plugin.
You can do some reading about it on link below:

Or get the EA LC (libray creator) from a previous year that contains the dxtex editor and convet a bmp to dds.
I never used Library creater so i don t know it works very well to create logos.

On link below you can download Library creator+Manual:

Note: You can download: Logo+splash template .......on this site:
Above shoutbox go to: Utilities.....select game: Tiger Woods 08...click go....and look in section: Game Display
