For the last couple of days I have been taking ages to move from hole to hole. a couple of other players I ask are having the same problem.
I decided to reinstall my game and when I did I tried it offline with the player you get when you first log an.
The game was perfect.........hit the ball..press escape......next shot.,,,,,,,,,fast as you like.........not a hint of delay betwen holes...very fast infact.
Went back out tried a couple of other courses everything was great.
Changed player to the one I had saved during reinstall..............game immediatelyt started lagging like an old toirtoise.......ages between holes and even ages between shots .........pressed escape and it just froze for about 30 seconds.
I had no option but reinstall again and delete my player.
Now I have to start from scratch again to get decent clubs etc
Anyone any ideas why this is happening?

I can save you a little bit of time there my friend. Dont even bother restarting your career, it can and will happen again.
This is a programming issue which seems to affect only a minority of customers, im guessing that it is an incompatability with Geforce 7 cards. In any case, if you want EA to fix this then i suggest that you contact customer support and ask them to help you fix it, the more people who do this, the more likely they are to realise that it is not a PC issue and is a programming issue. I have already contacted them and have started to jump through their little hoops in order to prove that they need to find the source of this problem and release a patch to fix it.
Either that or ill just buy a new PC . . . . About due for a Quad Core w/- Geforce 8800 Ultra anyway. |
