| For some reason whenever I try to begin my career in 08, it says that it couldnt initialize the selected course. I am using a created player that I downloaded from this site, but I dont really think that would be a problem for not letting me start a career. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

| Id try it with a character you create yourself and see if it works. If so, then the problem the downloaded player. |

This is some info of Hiker Bob..works great......
If you are using a golfer from 07, hes bringing the 07 tour along with him. The first course on the 07 tour was Aviara, which you likely dont have because it is 08 - lol. Look under the folder ...\EA Sports\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Default Files\Career\GCFS\. In there you will find a file called PGA.gcf. Copy this file, then go to your My Documents\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\Career\Players\*playername*\gcfs\ folder and paste it there, overwriting the existing file. |

Go To Start Menu Then User Accounts (Administartive Level For Windows Vista HP) Uncheck: User account control Should Be turned Off during game play. Remember to turn back on. As well when using any router firewall or virus programs, settings might require tweaking. With bit Defender they Have a Game Mode That can be turned on or off. It recognizes full screen mode changes etc. Having the small pamphlet (manual) that came with the game and reading it helps.

| I have dual booting windows and found that if a seperate or new install of tiger woods 08 is made the system can default character user folder settings. As well as improper exits crashes shutdowns power failures may loose settings so back up your players and maps to another hard drive. The folders for players are in your Users/yourname/mydocuments/Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 my folders The other things like Maps(courses) are in the Programs Folders in EA Sports. these Dont get changed. The Ones updated are the ones Ea created for characters changes. if any are altered improperly it can ruin the play . So Back Up Back Up or reinstall and start from zero. |
