This is a very easy fix. It will remove the yardage counter, and all those irritating text messages (birdie, on the green, etc.).
Go to:
C:Program Files/EA SPORTS/Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08/Data/Images/Game/ScoreAndLieTexts
and either move or delete (I would move) the folder ScoreAndLieTexts. I moved this to my desktop so the program could not find it. Worked like a charm!

This yardage feature is nice but too large and in the wrong place on the screen, if sombody had the talent to resize it and maybe bottom left of screen that would be good, as I noticed the yardage you hit is now put on the club button on the bottom right of screen, trouble is its hard to read, and I noticed it does not show all the time. but you are right the Birdie, par stuff is not needed. HOWEVER I now see your number of shots is not on screen with your opponent, which was handy.
nice touch is the working scoreboard. Sky/clouds are better. but I have crowd sounds but no commentary, might be a bug or soundcard issue, but maybe sorted in a patch. |
