Hi All,
Im having trouble with 08 in that the game seems to take forever between shots in certain game modes. Mainly match play and stroke play. There is no delay after the cpu takes a shot or if i am using one of the professionals that are in the game. This is only related to using a human controlled created player.
Please note that this is NOT evident in training, skills comp or skins.
I have all of the updated drivers, i have closed everything that does not need to be running down, i have defragged my pc. I have done everything to ensure that it is not my pc.
Has anyone figured out a way around this ? |

P4 3.4 Ghz
2gb DDR2
nVidia 7800 GTX
I can run 07 without any lag at all on highest settings, same with Madden 08. Im 99.9% sure its not a pc issue because it only affects some modes of gameplay.
Does it not happen to you ? |

| Apart from having dual core my set up is exactly the same as yours and I dont get that problem, do you have any background tasks running, in particular anti virus software, that can make a difference. |

I have all background tasks turned off. Including snoozing Anti Virus and Disabling Firewall.
This is a real nuisance. I have seen some other people on other forums with the same problem and my concern is that it only affects some people.
Note though, that this only happens when i am using a created golfer. If i use one of the professionals, it works fine. |

My spec is lower than yours and I havent detected any such delay - sorry!
Asking the obvious - have you tried hitting the escape key after your ball has rolled to a stop?
Ive just finished a four ball stroke play game that does take ages to complete, but no noticeable added delay between computer controlled players and my own creation.

Yes i have tried hitting escape after my shot.
This is really really annoying. I cant figure out why some people have this trouble and others do not. |

Im on The Nvidia 7800GT and Pentium 4 3gb and its very slow for me. I only have 1024 DDR if I get more memory should that help? OS could it be simply a slow connection? I am on 2.5md adsl but in Asia. |

Well ive got 2 gb RAM and it doesnt solve the problem for me.
Btw, did you install the latest driver update from nVidia? What a hunk of %$^ |

First of Fury,
Can you please go over to www.easports.com and go to the forums and add your system specs to a thread titled Lets diagnose the hang between shots/hole issue.
Hopefully if enough people list their specs there, we will see EA do something about this. |
