..... OK I talked to you all before and appreciate the responses concerning my tee box problem that I had. I am well along the way of finishing the course I am designing.
I realize that TW2007 does not support the ability to practice on a driving range and/or chipping/putting green. However, I, like others, for appearance sake and for the sake of ridding myself of the warnings when you compile the course about not having them, chose to take a shot at them.
I have a workable putting green, which of course, is also supposed to serve as the chipping area. Ive also started to develop the area for the driving range. The putting green doesnt give me any errors as such, however, both the chipping area and driving range continue to tell me edit the .... blah blah blah and even after placements of course do not show up as being existent when I compile (the warnings still show).
Here is what I need the opinion on .... - Do I need to put any more effort into this (even though I know they are not usable - and if so what am I missing on creating them) or is the effort I am putting into this worth it just for appearance sake?
All of this, of course, will help me on my way to complete the course I am working on, which of course when finished, I hope to share with all of you.

Hey Chuck, Ive made a few courses over the yrs and only 1 time did I make a driving range and practice putting area. Im not even sure what error you are talking about when you compile.
To answer your question about if you should spend more time on them........NO.
You cant use them in the game, so whats the point ?
Good luck on the course and finish it up already so we can have a new course to try. : )

| If its a real course and they are an important part of the visual aspeact of the course (visible from the course while playing), Id say put them in. Otherwise dont bother. |

The error message that you are getting is just that the driving range/practice green are not supported ... so you cant actually use them in the game. Feel free to add a practice green and driving range, but they are just window dressing they add to the realism of the course, but are not useable.
So I wouldnt spend any significant amount of time on them. |

Hi:
Thanks for the reply. What I was actually referring to what I called an error (hmmm - in error - LOL) appears when you hit the Warnings button after you compile the course (i.e.- it says Driving Range not defined (Not Supported in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006) same message for Chipping and Putting area).
As I said before, it was only going to be for appearance sake so I guess I dont really need them (youd only actually see them on a few spots on the course anyway).
And yes, I hope to have this done soon (the 18 holes are done [pretty much]) but of course I want to dress it up a bit before i send it along to you folks. Ill take this opportunity to answer one of the other posts here too the course I am creating is NOT something that already exists somewhere (LOL - except initially in my head and now getting towards completion for game-play).
To give you some sort of idea of my somewhat warped mind however Big, that hole I had the problem with (the par 3 with the island tee and island green) sits approx 240 yards from the Pro tee to the center of the green, and just for good measure, is also the most difficult green on the course to hold (heck - if the wind is blowing - well - never mind). No worries though, if you hit the green (or you are off to the side a bit), there is always the 6 deep bunkers which pretty much surround the green itself to keep you from falling in the water - LOL (assuming you havent terribly overshot or undershot the island itself)!

Thank you to all of you who posted replies here. I am not going to spend anymore time on those aspects (driving range, putting/chipping area). I guess Ill just use the areas I had set aside for those things as a cart storage area (OK - Ill think of something to do with those spots - hmmm - maybe more water).
