Im not your regular player in that I have been playing 2004 for a long time using the downloads from this site. I created a season and play with one of the pro players. Happy playing that way. I finally got 2005 and downloaded a couple of courses but cannot figure out how to bring them up to play. I would like to play with one of the players given like I do with 2004.

Easports released Custom course patch for TW05, you will have to install.
You can download on this site.
Above shoutbox look for: Utilities.
Inside select game: Tiger woods 2005...and click: Go.
Choose: Miscellaneous......and inside you will find patch.
If you need custom courses tutorial, above shoutbox you will see: Forum
Inside select: Tutorials/FAQ.......and inside choose:
How to install. downloaded courses 03-05. |

I downloaded the patch and downloaded a couple of courses. I feel dumb because I dont how to find them when I run 2005. I looked in tournaments in each month. Not sure were else to look for them.

Hi bro.....:):)
You will not find custom courses in TW05 season mode .
In TW06 there was a career editor06 released so it was possibble to ad custom courses to calendar.
In TW05 there was no Career editor released, that is why you cant find custom courses in calendar.
But when you start game and go to Practice mode or Custom game, you will be able to select and play all custom courses you installed. (if you installed custom courses correct).
Below you can read a review about custom courses and Season mode in TW05:
Ive been told that you cant use custom courses in Season mode. I havent tested this in the game yet, but if true, its a terrible design decision. EA has provided less and less support to the course architect over the years (its not even in the game this year as part of the initial release, although its supposed to be made available as a download at a later date), even though the courses created by amateur designers have in many cases been far better than the courses included with the game (Ken McHales Augusta is a good example). Season mode is quite boring if youre limited to the stock courses, so I hope Im wrong on this one.
The one change I really dont like this year is an odd one: how the putter sits in relation to the ball. I think the putter is too high this yearit rests off the ground, ostensibly ready for putting, but it obscures far too much of the ball. Its quite annoyingto me, at leastand Im still trying to get used to it. |
