| Hi all. Well, I have been robbed again! You all have read my past threads about me hitting the flag, and the game freezes. Then when it resumes, I am hitting the same shot again, with a stroke penalty. It says the flag is out of bounds. Well, I played two fellow players online last night, I won by 2 strokes. When I got back to the lobby, and checked my rating...it DECREASED 12 points!!! Why??? I have beat less rated players before, and my rating either stayed the same, or only went up 1 or 2 points. But NEVER have I had a decrease in rating for winning. Whats up with that? Let me guess...EA servers? LOL, EA Sports spends so much time on these stupid patches for their games, they cant even get the basics right. Since when do you get a drop in rating when you WIN?!? Another thing, how can the other players win 60-70 games in a ROW, and I have seen some of them have ratings of 2000+. No one can tell me that if they have a rating that high, or have played that many games, that they have not experienced some of my same problems. My rating would be about 100 points higher, if it wasnt for EA robbing me. Oh well, I guess that is what you get for only paying $20.00 at Wal-Mart for this crummy game! |

Dude if we all posted every time we had been robbed this forum would be 1000 pages long. It sux that it happens but it just does. You arent going to find much sympothy here or anywhere when everyone has to deal with it at some time or another. Well the honest players anyway.
You have 2 choices.
1. Deal with it and understand....Its just a game. The rank and tokens dont count for squat.
2. Quit playing, or find a better golf sim that supports muliplayer.
If #2 isnt an option then please see #1.

| Look here Big...I understand that it IS a GAME, ok? I am not looking for nothing on this forum. I have more than anyone could ask for. I just come on here looking for an answer. If it happens, then there HAS to be a reason that it did. I HAVE asked other members, and other online players. They say that it has NEVER happened to them. I just find it odd, that when I am playing other players online, they never run into the problems I have had in the past. I know the tokens and ratings dont mean SQUAT as you say, but its the POINT! I am just looking for an explanation on here, an not some smart remarks from you. So basically, you really dont know anything. |

| If youre looking for answers as to why there are glitches in the game and in easo then you are in the wrong forum, try the EA forums or better still try ea support, see who listens to you there. |

I have never had this happen to me, so I would make sure my video card and sound card drivers are the latest and greatest because it sounds as if the issue is on your end. |

I have the latest drivers for my video card and sound. This has happened to several other guys too. I was reading a thread in the TWC. A guy had the SAME problems as I have had. How can hitting the flag be out of bounds? You are saying thats my fault? Sounds like EA needs to know the difference between hitting a great shot, and what OB really is! I have heard that this is one of MANY bugs in this years TW 07 issue. I didnt design the game. It seems to me they need to go in a change alot of things. Hitting the flag during online play, and it freezes, then says your shot is OB, thats an EA issue, not my issue!

What you seem to be missing here is that while there are a handful of users who may be seeing this issue, it is not being reported as a WIDESPREAD issue throughout the community. If it were being reported as such, then that would be a different story. Have you tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling? |

Why does the game online make you out of bounds when you do a flop shot and it hits the flag. This has happened to me 3 or 4 times.

the funny thing is, this game doesnt follow a bunch of rules in golf.
I WANT TO HIT from THE WATER HAZARD!!!!!!!!!!!!
Though hitting a pin being ob is a little crazier, I think Ea invented some of its own rules anyway. Its called playing by Eas rules.
Im assuming that no one except Ea can solve those problems and if somone out of Ea knew they would of made their own patch or something so I guess I pretty much agree with Big, deal with it. You have to be luckier than other people, cmon, You can afford a computer! There goes most of the people in third world countries. Just realize that something so small should not be made a big deal, all tiger woods games included. Just have fun and just be glad you can even play tw games. Something to pass the time. |

| Hitting the flag or stick has been a known issue since 07 first came out... worse is when you get a hole in one and are reset to the tee box. (normally on a roll up hole in one when striking the flag hard) There are several OB places on the stock courses which could be fixed easily as well. Just bugs in 07 we have learned to live with. |

| Well speaking about hole in ones, I had a slam dunk hole in one the other night during online play. The course was Emerson Prairie. I have had 8 aces in the last 2 months, but never a hole in one, where the ball flew DIRECTLY into the hole on the fly! I didnt have any problems from that aspect. But I have, too, had one ace, where the ball landed just short of the stick, hit it, and bounced in. |
