My best round in real golf was 1 under par on a par 72. Was one of those days when everything seemed to be working well - well, almost everything. The thing I will always remember about that day, was on the 2nd hole, a par 3 about 170 yards. My tee shot went astray (ok - it went out of bounds - I yanked it badly - into the river). So, not to be denied, I waltz back over to my golf bag, grab another ball to tee it up again and of course Im hitting 3 now. You guessed it, in the hole it went.

That hole had followed a bogey which I had taken on the first hole. I had some really great holes after that. I also got a par on #3 and then on #4 which was a 340 yard par 4, I drove the ball just under 300 yards (usually when I hit em that long they slice a bit - this one didnt). My 40 or so yard chip shot found the hole for an eagle. So through 4 holes, I am one under, which is where I wound up.

Id like to say I played bogey-free golf the rest of the day (I didnt but - nothing worse than a bogey). Bottom line, the couple bogeys I had the rest of the 14 holes along with the mix of pars and a couple birdies, I played even par the last 14 holes to wind up 1-under.

Was a REAL exciting day for me.
