is there a way to convert and import 3d objects into the game? i guess they have to be converted to the mysterious x files.

It is usually easier to just make new items than try to import. When importing, the creator may have used lighting that has to be removed as well as other effects. Also, most 3d objects are created with no concern for poly counts. Poly counts are critical for Tiger Woods.
