List more of your specs here, I dont use vista but from what ive seen and heard its more than likely a memory issue or graphics.

Ive got it running now, after adjusting diff settings in the game. But now the golfers eyes are closed, or they appear to be. Tiger, Vijay, DiMarco, tried diff guys and they each appear to have their eyes shut. Lol whats up with that? Graphics or just the way it plays out? Something else? Arrgh, these games

Yeah I read that, and everythings running decent now, except their eyes. Has anybody else encountered this or am I just looking too closely?

Your graphics card is not supported by the game...you are lucky it is running at all.

Im having trouble running 06 on Vista Ultimate (32bit). Game crashes as soon as I get to the menu - not even trying to load courses yet. Here are further details on my system to anyone interested in helping me.

Nvidia 7900GS Video Card
NVidia drivers ver 100.65
CPU Core2 Duo 2.4GHz
2GB DDR2-800 RAM

I can run a lot of games without issue. I have tried running the game with Admin privs as well as with XP SP2 compatibility. Also tried variiations of these options without any luck.

I see some of you are getting 06 to run under Vista, so Im curious if there is something that Im missing here. Thanks in advance for your help!!

EDIT - Figured it out ... something was up with the custom courses i had installed. I reinstalled the entire game and now it runs perfectly using Admin mode - no Win XP SP2 compatibility mode needed.

i have had big probs with vista and tiger woods 06.
first would not run, then got it to run but menu was messed up for online play. used compatibilty mode with only run as winxp with sp2.
works fine now.

tiger woods 07 is another story.
tried evrything, but tries to load then crashes.
and vista comes up with program stopped functioning and has no suggestions.

have all o6 games running fine.

system: vista 64bit and 32 bit dual boot
geforce 7900gt

the EA easy info says operating system fail
unknown compatibility with
display device
display driver
sound driver.

have tried all latest drivers.

its to do with the flash player,it does not have the correct permissions, you need to go into your windows folder/system32/macromedia,there are two files in there you need to change the permissions for,flash9b.ocx and flashUtil9b.exe,right click on them, properties click,Security click, now click on everyone, there should be a check mark against all but the last entry, click apply and close,do this for both files, once you have done that double click on flashUtil9b.exe and it will run the program and update the flash program.

I have the same computer , but trying to run TW08. Mine crashes justing trying to run the practice mode. The bar goes all of the way across very fast and goes to a black screen.

Let me know what you changed on your settings. rdwat@hotmail.com

I am running TW2008 on Vista Business w/ GEForce 7950 with all the newest drivers and it crashes about every three holes. EA is useless. I tried to run as an XPP mode with no effect. All my other games run fine. WOW, Crysis, Starwars Troopers, Doom3 ect. Differently and EA issue but they fail to acknowledge the inability to run under Vista. Too bsd .. nice game.

the game runs fine on Vista, the problem is your video drivers and card, for some reason TW does not like that card with newer drivers,it will work with older drivers but that might effect other games performance.

For some odd reason, as Carnoustie pointed out, the game doesnt seem to mesh well with the 7900 series. Try going to Nvidia and loading an older driver ( something from mid -2006 should do it).
