| Is there a way to modify some file in a course to eliminate the bird and other nature sounds? Some of these sounds are so excessive as to make the course unplayable for me. It is one thing to be outdoors and hear the wonderful nature sounds, and quite another to have an insane bird squaking in your ear from a computer speaker. Designers should be more aware of this. Many of them are. The sounds are great in moderation and in lower volume. |

There is no volume control for the ambient sounds. Its either on or off. Unfortunately, the sound of the club striking the ball, and the ball hitting the turf, are also turned off with the ambient sounds, and these sounds add to the realism of the sim. I would much rather hear these sounds, than the bird sounds. The designer should listen to his bird for an hour, and he would eliminate it. |

| To the designers out there ... the sounds can be adjusted in CA by clicking on the sound properties and moving the frequency slider down. You can also adjust the height of the sound so that it sounds a little more distant. |

i think any custom course with sounds just ruin the course. They use a looping bird sound thats way too loud and obnoxious.

I wouldnt agree with the statement that any custom course with sounds is ruined. The only sound on a course that should be looping is running water ... i.e. a creek or a waterfall. If there is a nice variety of sounds that fit the course (and the cls), then I think sounds can really add to the experience. Like I said, you just need to make sure that the frequency and the height of the sounds are adjusted properly.

| haha i think its funny that avenged the nerve to comment here about something obnoxious.. but anyway. i always alter the sliders in CA with sounds.. and there are only a select few ppl that dont loke bird sounds and then if you cut back on them people seem to go where the ambient sounds. it is a no win situation for most |
