I have just noticed that all the course logos for TW 2004 and TW 2005 stock courses do not show up in the game of TW 2006 {the logo up in the corner of the scorecard, all 06 courses have them}. Can someone help me on how to get them in the game, the files are there in the courses directory, they just dont show up in game.

What is not showing up is called the splash screen. If you are seeing the splash screen TGA file in the course folder, here is what you need to do. Open up the Course Utilities program that comes with TW, highlight a course that is missing the splash screen and click on the Properties button, go to the area that says Course Picture, press the button beside that area and then browse for the TGA file for course. |

Thanks for the quick response. I am not sure exactly what the splash screen is, I thought that was the screen as the course loads. By your instructions, it seems the splash screen is the picture when you are choosing which course you want. I figured that one out, and also how to get the written deion to appear.

Yes, I just checked and I had the splash screens installed correctly for each course. I believe it is the logo.dds file I am trying to get in the game and cant figure it out how to do it. |

The splash screen is the image that shows up on the course selection screen. If you are missing the logo.dds images on the scorecard, that is a lot more tricky because it involves modifying the registry to enter that information. I would recommend doing this:

An excellent suggestion and worth a ton, Mr. Jarvis. I have 18 of the stock courses done, and 15 left to do. It works perfectly flags, splashes, deions, logos are all installed as they should be. It is a bit of a pain, as I have to go back and create a zip, then take off each course, then put it back in using Jorgens utility.

Do you have any idea what makes some 04 courses load so slowly on 06? Sahalee and Coeur dAlene come to mind. I love to play both of them, but sometimes it is literally 2-3 minutes for a hole to load during a tournament and I dont understand why. Thanks! |

I went back and checked on the Emerald Dragon flag. It looks like one was not created because I do not have one in my backup archive of that course.

I was hoping it was something simple like the leaves and sound such files (that arent recongnized in Jorgens install program) that were causing the slowdown, and that they could be deleted to increase the speed. No such luck, but I was just hoping there was something simple like that.

Don't have logos for the following courses that I down loaded in my TW PGA TOUR 08 game : Amazon Rainforest Links, Hells Half Acre, Honey I Shrunk the Course, Kibir-Am-Lak, and Don't know how to get logo to show up in my game, shows NO LOGO 08 with red circle underneath. Can anyone help me get logos for these games ? |

The first course you listed, Amazon Rainforest Links, is a TW2007 course. Logo files were not required for courses until TW2008, so therefore there may not be a logo file for that course.
Hell Half Acre does not have a proper logo file in the course file. Not sure how that one got past with just the No Logo file, but it looks like the architect did not provide a valid logo file for that course.
The other courses you listed have valid logo files included in the course zip file. When you are installing using the TW Caddie program you need to make sure you are installing directly from the zip file and you are not unzipping the zip file prior to installing. By installing directly from the zip file, the Caddie program properly associates the splash, logo, flag and text files with the course. If you unzip the course and have the Caddie program install the TCR course file, only the course file is installed. None of the graphics files (logo, splash, flag) will appear properly. |
